MASTERCAN DAC J1939 IO MODULE TECHNOTON Signal Converter
The MASTERCAN DAC J1939 IO MODULE TECHNOTON is an intelligent signal converter designed for industrial machinery monitoring, telematics networks, and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) automation. Operating simultaneously as an Analog-to-Digital (ADC) and Digital-to-Analog (DAC) interface, it bridges the gap between legacy analog hardware and digital CAN bus architecture adhering to SAE J1939 and S6 standards.
Engineered to operate in high-demand environments, the MASTERCAN DAC J1939 IO MODULE TECHNOTON converts raw analog sensor signals into standardized CAN J1939 PGN messages for telematics gateways or CAN displays. Simultaneously, it decodes digital SPN parameters from J1939 networks into analog voltage, current, frequency, pulse, discrete, or resistive outputs to drive analog dashboards, control relays, warning lamps, and industrial actuators.
Key Features of the MASTERCAN DAC J1939 IO MODULE TECHNOTON
-
Simultaneous Bi-Directional Conversion: Converts analog sensor inputs into CAN J1939 digital data streams while decoding CANbus messages into precise analog output signals
-
Versatile Analog Output Types: Supports conversion into voltage, current, frequency, pulse, discrete, and resistive signals to interface with diverse hardware
-
Legacy Dashboard Integration: Works with digital fuel sensors (such as DUT-E CAN) to drive traditional analog dashboard fuel gauge indicators
-
Sensor Signal Digitization: Encodes analog load sensors (such as GNOM axle load sensors) directly into CAN J1939/S6 telematics telemetry
-
Automation Control Drive: Automatically triggers analog devices (signal lights, sounders, and power relays) based on incoming J1939 CAN network messages
-
Wide Voltage Range & Rugged Enclosure: Operating supply range from 9 V DC to 45 V DC with IP40 ingress protection and operating temperatures from -40 °C to +85 °C
Primary Applications & Tasks
-
Analog-to-CAN Sensor Bridging: Routes data from multiple analog sensors into a single CAN input on telematics units, dashboards, or displays
-
CAN-to-Analog Decoding: Transmits CAN bus data to legacy telematics terminals or analog instrument clusters
-
Auxiliary Equipment Actuation: Controls external relays, lamps, and alarms using CAN messages received from onboard gateways or sensors
MasterCAN DAC15

Digital-to-analog converter with basic functionality for trucks and buses.
MasterCAN DAC15 converter is used to integrate vehicle CAN bus with GPS tracker or other telematics devices with analog inputs.
MasterCAN DAC15 together with DUT-E CAN fuel level sensor can serve to display information about the amount of fuel in fuel tank on the indicator of analog dashboard of vehicle. MasterCAN DAC15 is convenient to use for converting analog signal of GNOM axle load sensors into CAN J1939/S6 telematics interface.
MasterCAN DAC 2113

Flexible MasterCAN DAC2113 converter with extended functionality for industrial automation and monitoring of complex machinery – locomotives, track machines, river and sea vessels, agricultural, municipal and special equipment.
A wide range of analog inputs/outputs and the availability of CAN j1939/S6 interface allows transferring data from large number of analog sensors to a single CAN input of GPS tracker/telematics unit.
Joint use of MasterCAN DAC2113 with DFM CAN fuel flow meters and DUT-E CAN fuel level sensors is a convenient solution for monitoring of operation parameters of complex mobile and stationary objects – fuel control, integration of standard CAN bus data, data gathering from standard analog sensors, automation of operation of analog devices (relays, signal lamps, sound devices).
