Project Completion: Centralized SCADA & Fleet Remote Monitoring System

Hi Pro Electronics is pleased to announce the successful completion of a major Centralized SCADA and Fleet Remote Monitoring System project for TMS Tankers Ltd.

The project involved the engineering, supply, configuration, installation, integration, testing, and commissioning of a comprehensive vessel-to-shore remote monitoring infrastructure, providing centralized visibility of critical operational and machinery data across the fleet.

Approximately 60 RTUs Installed Across the Fleet

As part of the project, Hi Pro Electronics successfully installed and integrated approximately 60 Remote Terminal Units (RTUs) across vessels within the TMS Tankers fleet.

The distributed RTU infrastructure provides the foundation for collecting, processing, and transmitting operational information from individual vessels to the company’s shore-based centralized SCADA platform.

Vessel Automation & Machinery Data Integration

Each installation required integration with available onboard automation systems, machinery monitoring equipment, instrumentation, sensors, controllers, PLCs, and other vessel data sources.

The system was engineered to acquire and process critical information including:

• Machinery and equipment operating data
• Operational measurements and process values
• Equipment status information
• Alarm and condition data
• Performance information
• Available data from existing onboard automation and monitoring systems

Vessel-to-Shore Data Transmission

The installed RTUs were configured for data acquisition, processing, communication, and remote transmission, enabling collected vessel information to be transferred to the company’s shore-based infrastructure.

Hi Pro Electronics engineered and configured the required industrial communication interfaces and vessel-to-shore data transmission architecture to establish reliable communication between onboard systems and the centralized monitoring environment.

Centralized SCADA Integration

Data transmitted from the vessels was integrated into the TMS Tankers in-house centralized SCADA platform, creating a unified environment for fleet-wide monitoring and operational supervision.

The centralized SCADA infrastructure supports functions including:

• Centralized fleet monitoring
• Operational data visualization
• Remote data acquisition
• Alarm and status supervision
• Historical data processing and trending
• Operational and performance analysis

Engineering, Integration & Commissioning

The project covered the complete engineering and implementation cycle, from system architecture and onboard integration through communication testing, troubleshooting, optimization, and final commissioning.
