The EKI-1222 ADVANTECH (Model: EKI-1222) is a robust 2-port Modbus gateway engineered by Advantech to integrate legacy serial field devices into modern Ethernet automation networks. Equipped with 2 software-configurable RS-232/422/485 serial ports and dual 10/100 Mbps Ethernet ports, the EKI-1222 ADVANTECH performs seamless protocol conversion between Modbus TCP and Modbus RTU/ASCII communications.
Protected by a rugged IP30-rated metal enclosure, the EKI-1222 ADVANTECH supports flexible master and slave operating modes, allowing Ethernet-based PLCs, SCADA hosts, and HMIs to query up to 32 Modbus RTU/ASCII serial slave devices per port. Featuring dual Ethernet ports for cascade networking and dual 12 to 48V DC power inputs, it ensures high reliability for power plant monitoring, marine telemetry, and industrial control cabinets.
