TELEMATICS GATEWAY TECHNOTON CANUp Onboard Terminal
The TELEMATICS GATEWAY TECHNOTON CANUp is an advanced onboard computing terminal designed to collect, process, store, and transmit operating data for commercial vehicles, heavy machinery, agricultural equipment, and stationary industrial assets. Serving as the central intelligence node in fleet management and remote monitoring infrastructure, CANUp automatically parses and analyzes parameters from CAN buses, external fuel sensors, and digital machinery networks.
Powered by onboard Edge Computing, the TELEMATICS GATEWAY TECHNOTON calibrates, filters, linearizes, and normalizes operational parameters locally before transmission. By performing local event detection, counter tracking, and report generation, it dramatically reduces server workload and cellular data traffic while maintaining continuous offline memory buffering for up to 40,000 reports.
Key Features of the TELEMATICS GATEWAY TECHNOTON CANUp
-
Edge Computing Architecture: Processes and normalizes raw telemetry data locally, detecting critical events and maintaining counters onboard to optimize server efficiency
-
Broad CAN Bus & Protocol Parsing: Scans standard SAE j1939/71, ISOBUS, and CAN 2.0B interfaces, supporting more than 10,000 standardized machinery operating parameters
-
Multi-Sensor Integration: Reads Modbus RTU registers over RS-485, integrates J1708 data via converters, and connects directly to Bluetooth (BLE) wireless sensors via S7 technology
-
High-Precision GNSS Tracking: Integrated GPS/GLONASS positioning module delivers fast lock times under 10 seconds after cold boot
-
Flexible Telemetry Transmission: Automatically transmits onboard reports over 2G, 3G, 4G (LTE), or Wi-Fi networks, with direct email and SMS user alerts for critical events
-
Autonomous Battery Backup: Built-in rechargeable battery provides 4 to 6 hours of continuous standalone operation during main power interruptions
Fields of Application
-
Commercial Transportation & Logistics: Heavy trucks, long-haul transport fleets, and delivery logistics
-
Construction & Mining Machinery: Earthmovers, excavators, cranes, and heavy mobile plant equipment
-
Agricultural Telematics: Tractors, combines, and ISOBUS-equipped farm implements
-
Stationary Industrial Assets: Diesel generators, pumping stations, and industrial fuel storage tanks
